Very kind and informed doctors, but the bureacracy definitely creates barriers to care. Spinal wanted me to get steroid injections and found me an open time slot in pain clinic bc I live 8hrs away, but pain clinic refused to schedule without insurance approval. It didn't require a prior auth but by the time we established that it was too late. I get that distance is an unavoidable barrier to care, but hospital bureacracy shouldnt be making it worse.
