The service was good--the portions were large but everything tasted like it was cooked in yesterdays Grease-The "scallops" were either shark, monkfish or skate--They were not scallops! Oysters were fair, shrimp were good-it was ok for a mass produced seafood joint
The food was really great, the atmosphere was great,
Deviled Crabs were horrible sent back n got something else instead of them discounting bill or talking to about it, they raised my bill up a couple of dollars for the difference in the price of the plates. Waitress was good but will not ever go back. Manager was not nice about it at all!!! On top of that another person a couple of tables iver sent his back too!!
First time diner this evening, as I am not local. BEST fried catfish and clam strips I've ever had! Joseph was an amazing waiter - smiling, friendly, stayed on top of everything the whole time for our party of 8! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
Last 2 times we have been there our food was not cooked enough and had to be returned. This meant l ate alone and then when my husbands food was returned to the table he ate alone.
Best food in town and plenty of it and it is so good!!!!

My family I have eaten here for YEARS and have NEVER had one problem until now. The manager BERNARD provided TERRIBLE customer service. HE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE and TOTALLY OBNOXIOUS. HOWEVER, the hostess and waitress and the food, as usual, were all AWESOME. I am so very disappointed in the lack of customer service we received. I will be contacting the owner Pepe Bobotsiares in hopes that NO ONE EVER RECEIVES THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT AGAIN.
2nd terrible experience at the Mayflower in Winterville in a 3-week period!!! Yesterday they after waiting for 34 minutes, I was informed that they lost my order!!! Poor customer service in the takeout area!!!
