Dr Mayfield took care of the pain in my back when I could get no relief from any other source. He is professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He answered my questions in a manor in which I could understand. I will and have recommended him to many of my friends and acquaintances.
Dr. Mayfield was obviously very informed of my issues on my first visit. He had spent a great deal of time reviewing my history. He was prepared to help me, he had a plan. I have seen other drs and been given little hope to help my condition. All of his office staff is very harmonious from the first phone call. When I asked how they do that I was told they have all been together for 15 years. His bedside manner is very professional and very straight forward. I am very impressed with Dr Mayfield
While Dr. Mayfield has a great bedside manor, and is good at what he does; he is advertised as a pain clinic...if you ever get another drug from your regular doctor, he will refuse to help control your pain any longer...His office staff is inept...They canceled one appt for a procedure without even telling me until I arrived..it was over a $42. bill, which had been paid the week prior...Then they canceled my next back procedure with only 16 hrs notice, and rescheduled it a month later....
Dr. Mayfield came highly recommended by another surgeon. I had two injection procedures from him and my back has not felt this good in years. His interview process, prior to scheduling any procedure, is terrific. If you have a pain issue that affects your day to day life, this is the guy to go to in this town. No question about it.
I can't thank you enough. After my back injection and giving me an injection in my neck, my headache went away completely. I was able to go to my kids swim meet without pain. Thank you so much. And the staff is amazing too. Thank you again.
My husband and I recently moved to Florida, my husband has herniated disc in his back before moving here his doc recommended a nerve block, called Dr Mayfield office and they requested we bring all his reports to office and he would get back to him. Waited and waited our primary care doc called and referral dept called for a response after 4 weeks his assistantant called to say sorry we can't help you. Why not tell us that right away we could have then searched for a doctor who could help us.
Paralyized 6 years ago retreated first 2 years then retreated 3 years after that so far doing great after 1 year.
