I have gone to Mayfair for 4 years and will never go back. There has definitely been turnover in staff that has changed the whole feeling of the place. The only caring and compassionate vet there is Dr. Bristol. That being said, the practice cares about $$$$, over charges and refuses to work with you on providing care that your animal needs. get second opinion Took my cat for dental work Oct. 2011. Was advised he was in good health for procedure.He weighed 20 lbs. After cleaning, he did not eat for a few days, was told this is normal as mouth was probably sore,he started losing weight, but seemed ok a couple weeks after,and he was overweight by about 5 lbs anyway and vet had suggested he lose some weight, so I put food up at night. Disappointed... – I have been using Mayfair Animal Hospital for many years. I have noticed a decline in customer service and pressure to have procedures and tests done that are not necessary. It appears to have become more about making more money and less about the care and well being of the animals. Very disappointing...
I had been going to Mayfair for 9+ years and left recently to go to a vet with more personal attention. I changed to a vet where I'm not a just number. My last visit to the Mayfair office convinced me to leave. I went in to pick up some medication for my dogs and asked to speak with a vet and was told they were all too busy to answer my questions. So, if your looking for a caring vet office with which you can have a relationship, Mayfair isn't for you.
Great vet office, suprising service! I love this vet clinic. They have impressed me since day one. Their prices are fair, not the best, but worth what you get for the money. I went one day when they were short handed, and the vet spent more time with me to find out what I needed, than any other I have ever been to. The staff and technicians are knowledgeable, and care to make you feel comfortable. I am really please with the level of care they have given me and my family. I am so happy I found this vet office.
