We had our clay pipes replaced from the house to the sidewalk approximately 6-7 years ago after our mainline backed up due to roots in the joints of the clay pipes. I haven't yet located the initial paper work, but I know it was in 2013 or after, though they denied the work was done that recently. Fast forward to 2020, our mainline backed up again. We had a major leak happening in our basement. There was a lot of water all over the floor. We would put towels down and a few hours later the towels would be soaked through and water would spread. We store a lot in the basement and it was a lot of water leaking so we wanted someone to come out as soon as possible. Mayer had someone come out the next morning. We hired Mayer Plumbing and Heating to move a bathroom commode and sink within the same room about 4 feet in distance from its previous location. We were in a remodeling project in our offices and this work alone cost nearly $8,000. We couldn't keep their workers on the job more than 2 hours at a time. They would leave for long periods, go across the street and smoked and used their cell phones. We failed the building inspection for this bathroom after their work. Our residential boiler was not maintaining water pressure. Chris came out (for the second time in two years) and again failed to diagnose the issues. He therefore was unable to do the needed repair to a clogged screen and left us again with an unreliable boiler putting our entire radiant heating system at risk of freezing. We will not call them again.
