Delicious food, wonderful ambience, outstanding staff, great rewards program--can't say enough good things about Maya! :)
I saw this place on Chicago Best during the weekday. So I recommended this place for our weekly date night! And it was unbelieveablly great. The music, the atmosphere, the service, the drinks, and most importantly the food was excellent!!! I really enjoyed the patio area it made you feel like you was at a family get together. It's just one of those places that have you coming back over and over again!
Great patio and good Pan-Latin cuisine. If this restaurant were in the West Loop, I'm not sure it would survive next to really stellar Mexican and Latin cuisine. But this is Oak Park and there are a surprisingly small number of good restaurants. Maya is a place that you could take city friends or family visiting from out of town without being embarrassed, especially if the weather is nice and you can sit outside. My husband and I went to Maya del Sol this Wednesday (march 14). We heard about this restaurant from an out of town friend who heard of this restaurant from another friend who said they HAD to try it! Owner and waiter very disrespectful – I went to Maya del Sol for their Cinco de Maya celebration. A friend and I got there early (at 4pm) so that the two of us and three other friends could have a good spot on the patio for dinner. At about 445pm, the waiter and the owner came by separately to ask us to move to the bar, even though we were buying drinks and there were plenty of other tables open. Average Restaurant – I've driven by this restaurant many times, and finally decided to try it out. I had the tuna tacos and my friend had chicken tacos. There was nothing exceptional about the food. It was OK, but not great. Their tortilla chips are very hard and stale. They are also pretty pricey for the portions. And, the food is not very fresh tasting. Nice ambiance, good food – The food at this Mexican restaurant is very good, service is prompt, and prices are about what you'd expect (not too awful, not a real bargain). They definitely prefer customers who order a lot of drinks and appetizers - the server seemed surprised that we didn't want alcohol... But I would definitely recommend the restaurant!
Great Patio, Delicious Unique Food – I have been to Maya a few times, and they have definitely worked out the kinks, The Food is so good and flavorful. The Sangria is some of the best Sangria I have ever tasted and the Patio is just beautiful. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Oak Park and we look forward to our next visit.
The first worst restaurant ever had been to. – First and foremost the food was so blend. Then manger tried to bribe us with liquor on the house if we where to return!! Mind you after this incident my friend started nausea that I had to pull over to the side? don?t get me wrong atmosphere was nice; however the food is absolutely terrible.
