I am giving this company one star only because I can’t give less. They manage my son’s condominium in Palm Coast and serve as the HOA for the Shangri-La community. This company unfairly raised rates and failed to properly notify my son before sending his account to collections. Despite several requests, they have been unable to provide proof that any notice was sent or that a fair opportunity was given for him to pay the increased dues. We have worked with this company for 14 years. They are communicative and on top of things. We worked for all three offices in Daytona Beach, Palm Coast and Saint Augustine. Originally contacted by Mary Elizabeth who has since moved on. We have worked on more than 1/2 a dozen of their properties.We have recommended other condos to them for management services. We have had previous experiences with Southern States now out of business & I cant remember one good experience with them.
This is an organization where people hide behind voice mail. Nor do they return messages left on voice mail. Now they charge HOA members who pay their monthly dues online. So one has to pay them to pay them to manage the HOA. Boards of directors should look elsewhere when selecting a management company.
Avoid this firm at all costs. Completely incompetent and irresponsible. Unless you like a lot of complaints from homeowners, seek a different management company.
My pop pop lived at bella harbor court with his wife, who at the time could walk. In palm coast. Over the years she got ill and could not walk anymore. They lived on the 3rd floor. We'll He got sick from being in the marines and he passed away. Before he passed away he ask my wife and I to move in to take care of his wife. He said I leave you all everything.
