We bought a drop and load trailer about 5-6 years ago. User friendly, pulled great but lost 3 fenders the first year going down the Interstate. Almost lost an axle due to poor mount design. Repaired the axle mounting and installed fenders that had to be removed for loading. We have pulled that sucker over 100k. Said we would never buy another one but no one else makes a comparable trailer so just bought a new one. Kudos to Maxxd. They have corrected all the problems and then some. I have purchased 2-40’ TDX Maxx-D in the last 16 months. The first one had no issues and worked very well. The 2nd trailer has several issues. The customer service with their warranty department is pathetic!!!! If you have problems…good luck getting any support from them.
Feb 2022 - Bought a $45,000.00 Maxx-D Slide X tilt trailer. WARNING !!!! Trailer brakes will not work with a late model GM truck. WARNING !!!!! Maxey is aware the brakes will not work but is blaming it on GM brake controller. Maxey is hiding behind its warranty and will not cover all of your costs to get the problem figured out !!! Maxey is fully aware brakes will not work with late model GM trucks but does not tell you !!
Great customer service!! Ordered some decals for a dropnload trailer I'm repainting.. Top notch Trailer business. Peter Fehr went above and beyond! Sent me my decals along with some nice gifts. I bought two 7x14 dump trailers. Good heavy duty trailer except for selling their selves short with the cheap hitch pin. It has cheap aluminum clip that clips on the other side of the pin that had spread open and popped off the pin causing the pin to vibrate out while I was driving down the road. The trailer stayed with the truck but dented my bumper terribly. I had to learn the hard way. So please be aware of that and hopefully you guys can take that into consideration so you can make the clip on the pin heavier duty.
Absolute garbage. Customer service is non existent. Trailers are poorly constructed. I paid extra for upgrades and got zip tied cut up wiring and rust. Their dealer hit the trailer coupler with a fork lift and then had to try and bend it back to get it to mount on my truck. Then the dealer and the manufacture played the finger pointing game and neither actually solved the problem. I have since had to pay an additional $1200 on top of the $8000 I spent on the trailer having it repaired at a local body shop. Maxx-d has told ... read more
Bad experience from beginning to end. Forced to order through a dealer, that process took 4 different salesmen over a month to get processed. Then when trailer arrived it sat for another week before anyone bothered to let me know it was ready. I came out to get it and the company was busy so they just sent me out to go look at it. I gave it a quick glance and everything looked fine at first other than I was missing my spare tire I paid for.
