Cory was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. He took the time to tell me more about the specifics of engagement rings and the 4 C's. With his help, I was able to find the perfect diamond, setting , and band for my future wife. His store was clean, organized, and had a great selection of different styles. I had a two necklaces with a lot of sentimental value to me that had broken chains. Cory was able to fix them even though they were hollow-link chains, which generally can't be repaired. I am so enormously grateful to have them fixed, and also to have my go-to place for anything jewelry related in the future. Cory was so knowledgeable and I trusted him immediately. His prices struck me as very reasonable, he got the work done super quick, and it was just an overall great experience. Highly recommend!
I dropped my class ring on some rough asphalt the other day. It bounced a few times, leaving deep nicks in the gold and on detailed edges. I thought it was permanently ruined. In less than an hour, and without an appointment, Cory had it looking as good as the day I got it. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome, the clean and well kept store, and the friendly staff on top of it all.
Maxson Jewelers is by far the best jewelry shop in San Clemente. Cory Gillard is a second generation jeweler who learned the trade from his father Max. Going back to childhood, he can recall his father returning home from the jungles of South American with topaz and sapphires from mines that no other American had ever seen. The owner Cory made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in and truly took the time to answer all my questions with great detail. He is knowledgeable, warm, and you can tell he truly loves what he does.
