They deserve a rating of MINUS 100.I cannot begin to tell you how bad Maxey Homes cheated us. It is two years and we are still trying to get this piece of crap home we purchased fixed. BUYER BEWARE!!! These salesmen will say anything to get you to buy from them. NEVER sign their good faith deposit waiver!!! Other businesses return it to you, but maxey homes will have you sign a paper that says you forfeit it if you change your mind. The salesmen here will straight lie to your face and then later say talk to mr. Maxey FYI Mr. Maxey will never be reachable. They will not give you a number or his hours. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!
I do not work for Maxey Homes, but I have bought a home from them in the past and my great uncle was in the manufactured home business. Let me first say that many people who purchase a manufactured home do not understand that it is a HOUSE, even though it may have wheels. The more you add to a home the more expensive it will be, the same holds true to a custom built home. If you change light fixtures, it costs more. Buyer Beware!!! We had a deal working for a purchase of 5 acres and a mobile home from Maxey Mobile Homes. After 6 months of working with them and the land owner it was discovered that there was a lien on the property and it's not being taken care of. So I contacted Maxey representative Charlie Cates and asked him to try to find another piece of land that would work. Unfortunately he was not able to find any land either. They wanted more and more money from us! Told us they would give us $4000 back and then turned around and said never mind they couldn't do it, and THEN they told us we couldn't get the free furniture package! Don't buy homes from them! They are terrible and will break the bank!
The lied to me, flat out, I'd sell my soul before I EVER did business with these rude people.
My family shopped around when we went to buy a new home, it is a grueling process. I would like part of this home and my wife would like part of another. The professionals at maxeys helped us get the dream home we wanted. The whole process took a little while, but maxeys made it as smooth as possible. Don and Gabe were very helpful by explaining every step of the way. I would highly recomend Maxeys for your next home purchase.
I dissagree with the other review they were very helpfull with all aspects of my family's new home purchase.
