Happy Hour! I was happy with Max's breakfast buffet in the morning, but I was more impressed with happy hour at the bar. They have really delicious appetizers, and the circular bar was conducive to visiting with other guests.
Good Meal I ate breakfast at this restaurant located in the Mirabeau Park Hotel. I had scrambled eggs & chopped ham with hash browns and toast, all for about $8. The food was good, the server and atmosphere were pleasant. I would eat there again.
Love going here for lunch or a drink after work. They have really good sandwiches and salads. They have a good selection of wine and have tastings the first Wednesday of the month. Tasty stuff. It gets bogged down sometimes for service when they get busy and sometimes this drags on. But the food is very good when it arrives, especially the Cobb salad and the French dip.
We had an EXCELLENT experience! The food was AMAZING...probably the best steak we've ever eaten. Our waiter was beyond awesome and made us feel extra special as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We returned later that night to hear the live band playing 70's & 80's tunes. Dessert was divine. Would definitely go there again
Very disappointing. The server was snippy upon arriving at our table. The food was substandard, at best. I expected more based on the prices. A place such as Max, serving such things as obviously unripe melon, food cooked on an unclean grill- - if taste is any indicator - is not acceptable.
We had a family gathering on the 23rd and found that the dining room itself was very nice and worked well for all there, but the food was not good and it was very disappointing not to have had better. I have talked to other people and they also have mentioned the quality of food was not good. Great place for a gathering, but so wish you would consider looking into up grading the food. thank you for your consideration in this matter, because we would come more often if that part of your service was changed.
If your going to renovate it has to be done right, this place still is old, musty smelling and wifi don't work. After traveling all week this is not what I wanted. I'm checking out today to find a new clean smelling hotel with wifi.
my husband and i visited this facility the other night and i'm still upset about the poor food conditions and the service. let us start with the food itself. we ordered a trio of things which was ok until i ate the shrimp. they were so incredibly spicy i couldn't taste anything after eatting them. my meal was a lovely plate of all except the pickle. who serves a nice dinner and then throughs a pickles wedge on it? my husband got the seafood special for 26.50. in it he found part of a broken muscle shell and a closed clam. he... read more
worst service ever! this place is terrible. although the food wasn't bad tasting the service sucked so bad i would rather go to mcdonalds. i wouldnt suggest this place EVER!
