I got in the habit of trusting in the MAWSS online reminder, but never again. It's better to use online banking reminders. I missed a Feb bill, and was charged a late fee. I went back in my email to check to see if I just missed their online reminder, but no evidence was in my inbox, trash, or spam. I feel some type of tactic is used when the company wants to pull more money from customers; mind you from me people who only recieve disability amounts. My water was cut off due to a delinquent payment that slipped my mind. I paid the balance and they sent someone to my apartment to install a new water meter, but they didn’t turn it on because apparently for whatever reason I had to be home while they do it. They didn’t give me that heads up and so I was at work. And now my water is still off and they said they can send a tech back out to turn it on for a $60 fee. So now I have to pay them extra money to finish the job they started??? Make that make sense
Just moved here and drove all the way to try and turn our service on, just for there to not be a single human being to speak to and no direction on how to BEGIN service. I’ve never seen a water system place like this.
Seems like money is more important than the people they serve. Also not very pleased with how they have taken away a public waterway from their community. Not very good business practices in my opinion
