Probably the only restaurant that consistently makes the customer feel like they’re a hassle. Love the atmosphere, and the food is consistently good which is why we go back, but man, the customer service (or lack thereof) is appalling to me. Also, we are always told that there is a wait and when we look around there are always a lot if not most of the tables open! It blows my mind.
We went to Maverick’s for the first time on Saturday. We had an excellent experience and I raved about it on Facebook and to family and friends. Today a family member went to the restaurant and had the opposite experience with a staff member. They waited 20 minutes for this person to take their drink order and another extended period for him to return for their dinner order, all the while he was at the bar, chatting with friends, checking his phone, and doings shots with his buddies. A hole in the wall with great food, great people working. Saturday night musician was also really good. We chose to each get the “Chef’s Revenge” - essentially a surprise dish, off menu. It was really good, each dish different. Amazing flavor - great pricing and selection. You can take anyone here and they will find something to eat that they like.
Absolutely love mavericks! Great food and staff! Always a fun environment!
Sundays are the best with Larry. Food is excellent.
