Wow! We took the Island Express Helicopter to and from Catalina Island in August. What an amazing experience! It is a bit pricey, but the views are incredible! We saw dolphin pods on the way to and from the island and even saw a blue whale on the way back to Long Beach. Our pilot was fantastic and he made our 15 minute ride each way really memorable.

Terrain avoidance is solely the PIC’s responsibility when flying VFR. Flight following doesn’t pertain to terrain avoidance either. What it looks to me is you don’t even have knowledge of the rules and regs to file that suit.

How can a helicopter company have pilots flying their helicopters that can’t tell if they are ascending or descending in cloudy or foggy weather. I wouldn’t dare fly with them.

Reckless and ridiculous. A pilot crashed a helicopter and they are blaming a 13 year old child and her father for taking the risk. The pilot should have cancelled the flight due to the conditions.

This company is claiming a 13 year old knew there were risks and that Vanessa Bryant shouldn't be able to sue them. it was a tragedy when the crash happened and some blame should be on Kobe, but its in poor taste and business practice to try to weasel out of your companies pilot making the fatal error by blaming a deceased 13 year old girl.

Professional and super friendly! From booking to landing the helicopter....we could easily see that these guys have been doing this a long time. We were instructed on what to expect, the pilot answered our questions throughout the ride, so I was very relaxed and snapping shots of beautiful scenery. I Will definitely take my family and friends again. Thank you 💕
