Nicole is a wonderful stylist! I appreciated that she took the time to explain things to me in detail about the color and cut I wanted. She was also transparent about pricing. The prices are a bit steep (I paid just over $400 before tip for a partial balayage, toner treatment, and haircut), but the service and quality balance it out.

Nicole is amazing! By far the best balayage I've ever had. I have dark brown hair so balayage and highlights in the past have either looked fake, killed my hair, or were "natural looking" but almost nonexistent after multiple hours and hundreds of dollars. I explained what I wanted, and she did an even better job than I could have imagined. I'll gladly admit I'm very particular when it comes to makeup and hair. Its a great place with high quality stylists. My only issue is that they force you to tip - when you pay they just turn around a separate tipping machine that then also ADS ON MORE via taxes and stand there watching. Tipping is an *optional* discretionary gratuity - if the salon owner is not paying you a proper wage, don't force your customers to pay for you on top of paying for expensive services.

I had a great experience with Sydney who did an amazing balayage on my curly hair! I have never had my hair professionally colored before and Sydney took the time to answer all my many questions and alleviated my worries. She helped me figure out what I wanted and then absolutely crushed my expectations. I’ve gotten a lot of really sweet compliments since. Sydney and the Maven team were so friendly and professional, I’ll definitely come back :)
