Dr. Mauro seems genuinely interested in patient's dermatology issues. He is a careful surgeon and his office handles the money and scheduling side of the business very well. Recommended
Quick, thorough.
I have been Dr Mauro’s patient for over 10 years. I am older, have been out in the sun a lot, and consequently little skin cancers are continually popping up. Dr. Mauro identifies them and freezes them quickly and with no fuss. Occasionally he needs to cut one out. It’s always painless. He always has a friendly word to say when I see him and I’m happy with his service. I am always taken in on time, never have to wait very long.
Dr. Mauro and staff are arrogant and uncaring. He gave bes you 2 minutes of time and then demands you schedule another appointment to continue. Worst Dr. I have seen in 65 years.

I am upset. Months ago, I told Dr. Mauro, about a small spot, on my nose. He acted like nothing, was wrong. Now the doctor has me putting precancer medicine, on it. It has spread to a much larger, area. Sadness. I had skin cancer before. When I lived on Maui. I had Mohs surgery, then.
Dr. Mauro and staff top notch, professional and friendly. Never a wait. Get me in by appt. time, every time. I've had so many skin cancers. Never any pain. Never visible scars. Hilo is so fortunate to have him in our community. His answering machine may say "Not accepting new patients ". How fortunate I am to be an existing patient.
I found Dr Mauro to be friendly, responsive to my questions, and efficient but not brusque.
