Dr. Maurer is professional, friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and thorough. I highly recommend him.
I was seen a few years ago so he could determine if I had any vocal cord issues before having my 3rd cervical disc surgery. Prior to that my dad had used him and why I wanted to see him
I’ve been a patient for some time. Dr. Maurer and his team are first class professionals who provide the highest quality medical care. As a bonus, they’re warm, friendly and upbeat. It’s a happy ship.
Excellent doctor. I was so impressed that a doctor called to give me my results. Most places a nurse would call to read them off and the patient is unable to ask questions. He is very knowledgable and patient friendly. Would highly recommend.

Dr Mauer was very nice and helpful with all my questions. Broke my nose and need to have septoplasty. I feel confident he will do a good job.
Dr. Maurer was timely and pleasant but said that the growth on my thyroid was too small and not to be concerned. My second opinion was able to biopsy the nodule and find that it was a concern for cancer. So glad I decided to get a second opinion in Charleston.
I am very frustrated - because one of the receptionists is rude (on more than one occasion - this last one has pushed me over the edge). She does not listen. I am having symptoms that have completely changed possibly pointing toward something more serious. I needed for her to listen and relay the info to the dr. and not provide her diagnosis for what my future treatment is going to be. The receptionist, Ashley, is great.
Dr. Maurer is good but he has a terrible staff at his Bluffton, SC location. I arrived for my daughters appointment only to find out the lady forgot to put it into the computer. I even showed her my appointment reminder card. Had to reschedule so when I arrived, they proceeded to tell me they do not take the insurance. All this after being seen twice and waiting for another month for hearing aid consult. Special needs child with hearing issues and now have to find another doctor.
