It's Just Okay. This place reminds me of Tex-Mex from the East Coast. But this is Texas people! Should be done better. All the usual suspects are on the menu and there really are no surprises. A little too greasy and the most mystifying (-ly bad) cheese on the planet. It's fine for standard TexMex fare but don't expect anything too grand. Stand out at breakfast are the Pete's Tantalyzing tacos!

Good mexican food, but wait is sometimes too long Service is ok, I say that because everytime I go there, I don't seem to get the best waiter/waitress. They can't all have bad days.. we used to go there once a week. Now the wait is just too long. I like their Blackened fish dish. But for the price, I would put up with a little bad service and good tex-mex. Plus it is near my side of town, not too far of a drive. PROS: Cheap, good food. CONS: Mediocre service.

Maudie's Hacienda is Tasty but Not the BEST I'd give them a 3.5 if half a star was available. I really liked it when I moved here, but the quality seems to have gone down a bit. Still, a good value and there is some tasty stuff on there. Actually, I like the burger a lot...

Maudie's Hacienda is okay, but not great It is a convenient location to find, but the parking can be challenging. Seems to be quite busy, but sometimes things (especially produce products) could be fresher.

Depends on what you get. During peak hours this place can get very packed. The food is ok. Some dishes are strangely .. wrong. In particular, the fajita meat. Chicken is in large chunks and tends to be very dry. The salads are not that great. The salsa is excellent. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. Their famed enchilada plates are good... if you really like cheese. They are swimming in it... which is fine by me. i love cheese. The best breakfast taco in town: Pete's Tantalizing Tacos. The BEST. Some of their unconventi... read more

Great Enchiladas Maudie's serve some of the best enchiladas in Austin - sooo yummy! The swirl margarita they serve is fabulous. The strawberry mix is frozen to the inside of the glass with margarita poured over it... not too sweet, but pretty strong!

Best Tex-Mex in Austin. Maudie's is my favorite place to eat when I'm spending the day in Austin. Good Tex-Mex and a friendly atmosphere. It truly feels like the South Austin experience.
