Dr. Mathys helped relieve the pain in my hip bursa area. He knew what was wrong right away. Everyone there was very nice.
No bedside manor. Pinched the political artery behind my knee. Woke up from surgery with numb/tingly leg from knee down. He said it was normal. Never looked at my incision. Had second surgery to open the artery by different surgeon. Matthys just said I was lucky I didn't loose my leg. Never admitted to what he did.
On Monday, December 28th I was admitted to the Special Surgery Center in Fargo. From our 1st encounter with Jackie at reception we were treated like royalty. The facility had multiple covid precautions in place, was spotless and very well staffed. During my pre-operation with Nurse Amber, to my Anesthesiologist, to my operating team lead by Dr Gary Matthys. Dr. Matthys replaced my right knee 3 months ago, and I am so relieved to be pain free. I am definitely going to have my left knee replaced as well!!! He did an awesome job!! Thank you, Dr. Matthys!
Had two hips replaced within 4 months. Dr. Matthys is absolutely Top Notch. Wouldn’t suggest anyone else for hip surgery.
