Matthew's Restaurant is one-of-a-kind!!!!! Without a doubt the best restaurant in Jacksonville; in a class all by itself. The menu is always fresh and the service can't be beat. And the DESSERTS... Souffles to die for!!! If I wouldn't look like a pig, I would go there just for them! Another favorite is the Foie gras! OMG!! Definitely try it, but be warned, it is pricey, but there is no better food in Jacksonville.
Fine Dining Matthew Medure raised the bar on fine-dining in Jacksonville. This is the all-around best restaurant in the city. The menu changes everyday. Can't go wrong with the chefs tasting menu.
I took my wife here for our 1 year anniversary and the food & atmosphere was very elegant. Wasn't very loud and the waiter was very knowledgeable on all the food items & wine pairing. They even brought us out a dessert on the house. It diffidently set the mood for the rest of the night. Hats off to the chef as well...
The Salmon Tartare was divine. Both the food and the experience were great. The Medure Brothers definitely know their way around a kitchen.
The food was very delightful the atomosphere was romantic. Our server was unattentive, unfriendly, didn't smile until she brought the bill. Our table was the only one in the restaurant with out a table cloth, I can't believe no one noticed this. I have mixed feelings about the place. The cost of the food and the terribel service make this place very unattractive.
I've been to Matthew's a few dozen times and I've yet to try anything that wasn't fantastic. I love the formal atmosphere. The staff is amazing and all the food is fantastic.

INSANELY Overpriced for Mediocre Food and Service – I took a small group of colleagues here for a dinner to celebrate the completion of a project. The restaurant bills itself – and several other reviewers seem to agree – as a destination for special occasions. I beg to differ.
