Dr. Matthews is a board-certified ophthalmologist. In ‘2020 I was referred to her by my optometrist for a consultation regarding cataract surgery. Before making an appointment to see Dr. Matthews I did my homework. Her professional credentials are outstanding. Dr. Matthews is not only a brilliant doctor and a skilled surgeon, (she did operate on both my eyes), she is patient and kind and caring. DR MATTHEWS IS ACTUAL EXCELLENT JOB FOR ME TO EXAMINE TO LOOK MY EYES .
I hate leaving this review because the services that I received were wonderful. The frustrating part was their lack of honesty on the cost of cataract surgery. We have a very high deductible and they knew that so they kept telling me the cost to make sure I was able to pay. The total cost they quoted me was between $3500-$4000. They never mentioned to me about the surgery center cost which is located in the same building. The surgery center cost was over $5000. She seemed to genuinely care and she listened carefully. She ordered tests to check for other diseases and was very thorough. She made referrals to other physicians as needed.
She is an excellent doctor and that made a stressful visit pleasant.
I was extremely satisfied with the services that I received. I was made to believe that Dr. Matthews was very competent in her diagnosis.
