Dr Nies is very personable & down to earth. The main reason I choose him was in his video on Summit’s webpage, he said although he loves performing surgery, there are other options to consider before surgery. This was true for me before I partially tore the root of my medial meniscus on Feb 21st. I exhausted every avenue - cortisone injection , PT x 8 wks, RICE, Braces, Medrol dose pack- nothing worked long term. Two weeks ago I had my left TKR.
