Matthew Patton gave up on me as a patient when I had an unsuccessful nerve decompression surgery, essentially giving a shoulder shrug saying nothing more could be done. Fortunately, I did not give up and another surgeon, after additional workup and advanced diagnostic imaging, was able to resolve the issue successfully. I would not recommend him as he comes across as arrogant and unwilling to go beyond "textbook normal" cases that require more comprehensive, challenging care and procedures.
Dr. Patton was great and so efficient. After struggling with pain on my hand for over 2 years my PCP would not refer me to get an MRI, he even sent me to a Pain Management clinic to get shots which I absolutely refused. Desperate and almost to my breaking point, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Patton and sure enough there was a small tare on my TFCC ligament. I've been a patient of Dr. Patton for over 14 years . Every hand surgery I had was a complete success. And my wife also. Now being 80 both my hands work perfect. He is the ONLY hand Doctor I will use and highly recommend him and his team. Explains everything that I can understand. He's 5 star plus. Douglas Mathews
I would not recommend this surgeon to anyone who values clear communication and respectful care. My mother had surgery here and experienced issues with the closure of her incision. The stitches were messy, gapped, and didn’t seem to be healing properly. Despite raising these concerns with the office multiple times, she was repeatedly reassured that everything was fine.
