I had previously seen a different neurologist, but I wasn't getting answers and wanted someone closer to home, so I went to see Dr. Kidd to do repeat testing. He diagnosed me with Fibromialgia, except the ACTUAL SPECIALIST ruled it out. I had also gone to the Rheumatologist for repeat testing at the same time, and remarkably the repeat test finally told me what was happening. I was sent here for epilepsy, by one of his doctor "friends". Said he could not see me and I should see a seizure doctor (later found out epileptologist). He still charged me the visit which insurance wont pay (Cigna) and all he did was get in my face with his elbow bump acting "safe" and watch me walk to the door and back to the seat. Hmm, lets see, ill charge you a few hundred dollars because you took off work to drive 45 mins round trip to sit in the waiting room for 10 and talk to the doctor for 5.
Every time I have an appointment I have a very good experience, not just that, but my health is improving. Dr Kidd is compassionate and knowledgeable. Those 2 are not easy to find. In each appointment he spends with me the time I need to help me move forward in my health journal. I indeed recommend him. I feel very much thankful and blessed by finding him. I do not understand all those bad reviews as my experience has been the opposite every time.
I have found Dr. Kidd to be personable, and knowledgeable. I’m stumped on all of these bad reviews on him. I’ve been in the medical field for over 30 years, and I feel he’s a top physician. But I know from experience that most people who write reviews are the dissatisfied ones, and many times it’s because they expect an answer right away. If they don’t get one, they’ll go elsewhere until they hear what they want.
Dr. Kidd is a very kind and compassionate doctor! Resolved my issue quickly. I highly recommend him.
I think Dr. Kidd is great. I trust his judgement and ability to take care of me. He is always patient and kind. I never leave feeling like I didn't get the attention I deserve. I can't say that about all of my doctors. Thank you Dr. Kidd for taking care of me, even when I asked one more question. : )
It says all kinds experience with epilepsy...so I go and get sent off being told since my problem is with epilepsy, I need to see an epileptologist. Thanks for the extra trip.
Dr. Kidd is a good person but he is not a very helpful doctor. He is compassionate enough but was always rushed and always expected me to make all the decisions about my care without him really offering anything. It is not my job to research medications, their efficacy, side effects and interactions, that's what the doctor is for, to provide treatment options. I was told I needed to see a neurologist, I called Boulder Community Health and asked for a recommendation. After explaining my issue and situation they whole heartedly recommended Matthew Kidd. Although I've always been able to see a Dr in Boulder, I had to go to Lafayette to see Dr. Kidd. I was early to my appointment, Dr. Kidd was about 20 minutes late and I was not called back until 20 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start.
