Dr. Hughes appears to be a competent and knowledgeable surgeon and expert. However, my experience with him over the course of 8 months of treatment was very dissatisfying. While he attempted to answer questions, it often felt that he was going through the motions. When giving scary information or diagnoses, he would provide pamphlets on conditions rather than showing recognition of how scary it could be for a patient to receive that information.
