Amazing doctor! The magnitude of my daughter’s scoliosis surgery humbles me! Dr. Halsey’s expertice and skill in performing this type surgery is nothing short of magnificent. Hos work is absolutely awe-inspiring. He was very kind, caring and made my daughter feel at ease from the very beginning. He even came in on both of his day offs to make sure my daughter is ok. My family is so very much greatful and appreciative of Dr. Halsey.
I was diagnosed with scoliosis in 2008 and had a degree over 78 percent. I was operated at OHSU with fusions in 2015, by Dr. Matthew Halsey. I have two rods and over 18 screws in my body, and I have a wonderful scar that looks barely visible. Dr. Halsey and his team did an excellent job accommodating my severe scoliosis at the young age of 15. He has wonderful communication style, and loving personality. He is very caring of his patients. Great physician. Diagnosed my daughter with a developmental issue that affected her gate while playing soccer. Prescribed rest followed by conditioning and she is stronger than ever. Thank you. From a very appreciative dad
Dr. Halsey's absence of bedside manner left a parent in tears, and a 7 year old wondering why the doctor considers him a liar. As part of a three year journey, we went for answers, and were met with skepticism, and told that out 7 year old is lying about the pain he has been in for 3 years. He did not attempt any kind of exam, and did not open the MRI results to review. This doctor has no business working with children.
