Pretty dismissive overall. I won’t argue against his diagnosis, but he made me (41,M, chronic spine pain, medically on disability from back injuries in the Air Force) feel like shit. On one hand, I appreciate him hitting me with the hard truth of “just getting older”. On the other hand, I wish he would have tried to see if my neck and shoulder pain were related, or if he offered something more than ibuprofen and physical therapy for the flare ups and permanent pain. Horrible experience. The Dr basically asks why I’m there and tells me there’s nothing wrong with me and doesn’t even do his due diligence and examine me. I will never go back to see him although I’ve had lovely experience with the walk clinic, I don’t think I will ever go back!
I saw Dr Hannibal for sciatic pain that I had been dealing with for well over a year. The pain in my lower back and leg gradually worsened to the point that I finally admitted to myself I was nearly homebound. Dr. Hannibal explained the surgery to me and answered all my questions in ways I easily understood. EmergeOrtho is excellent at providing patient care in every area of service. Dr. Hannibal is professional and personable. He is upfront about your condition and treatment and encourages questions. I highly recommend him.
I have had two appointments with Dr. Hannibal, after 2.5 months of physical therapy; after the first appointment I left knowing he was trying to help me figure out how to not be in agony. He listened to me and helped me understand the timeline of expectations depending on how the injection holds up and what to expect if it doesn’t.
