Dr. Gold spent much time with my mother to help her medically. Very thorough.
I wish I could give zero stars. My 73 year old mother was admitted to the hospital for confusion and was having trouble speaking and remembering things. She really wanted to go home since it was close to Christmas but the medical staff insisted that she stay to meet with the neurologist. Well, I’m wishing now that we didn’t. Dr Gold was so rude and dismissive to my mother, to a point that she was in tears and shaking. He then offered no help or diagnosis. Dr. Gold's bedside manner has a lot to be desired. I was admitted to Winchester Hospital recently, part of my examination was with Dr. Gold I was scared, confused, cause I had no idea what happened. Dr. Gold did a series of questions as far back as 1989. Some things I remember, lots I didn't. When asked what happened in this recent admission I couldn't answer many of the questions. Dr. Gold helped me immensely with the persistent headaches and other symptoms that came along with them that I had been experiencing. I went to him for symptom relief and that is exactly what I got as well as appropriate testing to rule out any other anomalies. I would describe him as an old school doctor, and a 'they don't make them like they used to type.' He is an absolute gem, and I will be very sad when he retires.
In 2021, I brought my 85 year old father to Dr.Gold for a dementia evaluation and guidance. I was not thrilled in the first visit, but gave him a try anyway. On the subsequent visits, he was rude in his approach to both my father and myself. As he gave cognitive tests, he mumbled about how he did worse than the last time. His idea of giving guidance to me as a care taker was to let me wait as he attempted to print out information from the website. Hospital neurology consult while inpatient. Extremely RUDE to my 78yr old mother experiencing headaches and high BP for the first time in 78 years. Dr Gold was short with my mother and practically had her in tears. It was a horrific experience. Wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. Needs to take a class in compassion and humanity. Or hang up his stethoscope and old fashion doctor bag it’s time to retire!!
Dr. Gold is a real professional and a very caring and concerned doctor. He has helped me a great deal. I highly recommend him. He clearly explains what he is doing and tells me what to expect.
Dr. Gold is my third Neurologist and I'm very satisfied with his expertise. My first Dr. moved from the area (after 10 years), the next retired (another 10 years), and now I see Dr. Gold. He gives me all the office time needed and has never been in a hurry to get to the next patient. He cares about my health and when you combine that with his knowledge, he easily gets 5 stars.
Dr Gold is the only Doctor that has helped me. Ive been to many and have not gotten the relief from migraines as i have from him. Highly recommend.
