I've been a patient of Dr. Claussen for around 20 years. He's great. Very good and thorough when explaining medical issues, easy-going personality, always provides me as much time as needed for discussion, never rushes anything. I'd recommend him without reservation.
As new UCH member I selected Dr Clausen as my primary due to his reviews. When I called to schedule my first appointment I was informed that he was not accepting new patients even though the website said he is. Basically it is a bait and switch. The office tried to get me to see another doctor in their office. I hate games. Don't show that the doctor is taking new patients and then switch me to someone else that is not as qualified.
He is well-knowledged in a number of areas, and provides measured advice whereby he does not over-react to symptoms by over-prescribing medication or shipping you off to unnecessary specialists. I don't wait too long in waiting room and don't feel hurried ever in our appt.'s.
Dr Claussen has been my dr for almost 20 yrs and has been a great resource. I cant imagine seeing anyone else. If you need someone that will give it to you straight and take great care of you look no further.
Dr. Claussen is the ONLY doctor I have ever had that advised me he needed to perform a DRE (Digital Rectal Exam) on me even though my prostate had been completely removed years prior. When I told my urologist about this we both had a good laugh. If you're looking for a Dr. that has absolutely no personality or bed side manner, and that wants to perform unnecessary tests on you, look no further than Dr. Claussen.
Dr Claussen has been my primary care provider for 20 years now. He's always been professional and honest. Always answering our questions to the point while being reasonable and caring. My husband and I find him to be one of the best doctors in Highlands Ranch.
I've been going to Dr. Claussen for about 10 years now and will continue too as long as possible. I have always found him to be very conscientious and leaving nothing to chance in my care. He has never been at a loss when answering my questions and explains things in way that is easy to understand. I also find him very personable, easy to talk openly and honestly too, and have never felt rushed during my visits. All of these qualities make me keep Dr. Claussen as my primary care provider.
