I've seen Dr Amarante twice for consultation re. a compression vertebrae fracture. He's an exceptional communicator, a relaxed and attentive listener, and has a comforting energy. Clearly, he doesn't peddle unnecessary surgeries, preferring conservative approaches when more aggressive interventions aren't clearly indicated. I was highly impressed with him, on all levels. If/when, down the road, I've got neuro-surgical issues he treats, he'll be my "go to" resource. Fantastic, kind physician.
I had surgery performed by Dr. Matthew Amarante on November 19th, 2021. I can only speak of him in the highest regards. I had a laminectomy discectomy performed on my L4/L5. I had a series of appointments with him pre-surgery before I even decided if wanted surgery and he was the utmost professional and helpful. Dr Amarante has amazing bedside manner and is a wonderful surgeon. He answered all my questions, was very patient, the procedure went perfectly and recovery is exactly as he described.
Dr Amarante and his staff were the ideal of efficient, compassionate, thorough, and effective as a medical team in treatment of my herniated disc. I didn’t have to wait forever to get an appointment, and when I actually did sit down with him, he answered every question thoroughly, with total patience (I had a lot of questions) He even came back while I was scheduling my procedure with his staff to see if everything was going okay, and provide extra reassurance.
