Dr. Johansen is pleasant, thorough, and knowledgeable. He informed me that my left hip had almost no cartilage and my options were to take anti inflammatory medications to reduce the aggravating symptoms or have hip replacement surgery. I tried the anti inflammatory route, but I did not like the quality of life that occurred. Still had pain and limping after 9 holes of golf or weed whacking my 100 X 300 foot property. I have scheduled surgery with Dr. Johansen for late September.
Every aspect of my visit to Dr. Matthew Johansen at Beacon Orthopedics was outstanding. I had my left hip replaced in 2007 and recently was having severe hip pain when walking the stairs and doing activities. I was able to get a quick appointment to get the problem evaluated and diagnosed and was given a plan for immediate relief and longterm care. Everyone at Beacon West was pleasant and professional.
