Companies that asked you for your information and never responded back aren't reliable at all ,not good for business
Very unprofessional. Job was done 1 month late and at more than 2 times the estimate. Please drive by our house ….. 11 edge hill lane in Westport …. Dumped 16 tons of gravel for $ 4000. Unbelievable. Some yellow New Jersey beach gravel at $ 150 a ton. Will be replacing it next few weeks but feel free to drive by the house and take a look (June 3, 2022).
Heidi and I have worked with Mattera for over 25 years, first in Darien and then at our current house in New Canaan. They have always done a fantastic job. They are excellent at organizing a project design, and the crews have always done a great job on the installations. Their work for us has been wide ranging: converting woodlands to lawn, including re-regrading and stump removal; extensive tree / bush / plant landscaping; buildout of stone retaining walls / patios / walkways; drainage systems; etc.
Mattera & Daughter Landscaping has done several landscaping jobs for us over the past several years all of which we have been extremely pleased. The largest was outdoor space they created from an area that used to house an above ground swimming pool. The space includes a large patio, lighted planters, walkways, and sitting walls all electrified for entertainment.
