Had cracks in brand new driveway when we moved in to the house in August 2021. Reported to Mattamy at that time and were told that they would take care of the cracks. Now after two years am being told that they will ‘patch’ the cracks as a “courtesy” since the one year warranty period is up. One year on a new driveway when the problem was reported to them at closing is ridiculous. The cracks keep getting larger and Mattamy obviously does not want to correct the problem. Make sure you get everything fixed before you close on... read more

The absolute worst home builder in the valley. All joking aside, a cardboard box would have been a better purchase. The quality is so poor it makes you sick to your stomach. Miss matched paint, wrong paint, damaged floor tiles , damaged roof tiles, broken windows, doors that don't close, doors that don't open, damaged sliding door, 73 drywall screw heads sticking out, stucco cracked all over the house, blinds that don't fit properly , windows falling apart. The list goes on and on over 60 items noted to ROC and they failed t... read more

My Wife and I Built with Royal Oaks 4 years ago. We were happy with the customer service, build quality, and project managers. We were pleased enough that when we were looking to build again, we found a nearby Mattamy Neighborhood (Ballentine Place) and felt comfortable knowing that a lot of Royal Oaks was still present. Were we wrong. The builder that we respected is no longer present as the big box Mattamy has taken over. We Visited Ballentine Place the weekend of February 6th and eventually came by to put our deposit ... read more

I know that the market is crazy right now, but from the first meeting with the Mattamy Homes sales team, everything went downhill. We were pressured and rushed to hurry up and put money down or we would lose the lot or pricing. We asked a few simple questions about pricing and construction and no one could give us an answer. We were just told to hurry up or we would lose pricing or the lot again. We came in with another couple to be able to be side by side in a villa, and we were told they could only sell one side and the ot... read more

Mattamy Homes (Avea Point, Lutz FL) has repeatedly removed this posting! Please read before purchasing in the Tampa Bay Area. This is a legitimate posting. Unfortunately, our family has gone through the worst building experience with Mattamy Homes. We have built homes in Pennsylvania and Florida and never experienced such poor workmanship in a new construction home until now. We have purchased homes by Taylor Morrison and MI Homes; we had absolutely no issues with them. The areas that caused significant safety (habitab... read more

Mattamy is the worst home building company my husband and I have EVER had to deal with! If we could change it all over again, we would have gone with another Lennar home. Mattamy severely cuts corners, has no quality control, runs their superintendents to death (we had four different ones because they kept leaving) and contract out the ultimate lowest bidder for HVAC (constantly having issues with our HVAC system and right after our year warranty was up, we had to pay to have the blower motor replaced. Also had to have th... read more

We have a new house built by Mattamy homes and have been in it 8 months. The quality of their materials and workmanship is very poor and the homes are overpriced considering they do not come with much and you have to upgrade most things that many builders include. The wood used for framing of the house was in poor condition and the concrete slab has numerous cracked areas a few weeks into it. This concerned us and when we tried to cancel the contract after seeing the quality of what we were getting and the response that “you... read more
