I have had the pleasure to see Matt's work from both a personal and professional level. Matt is very knowledgeable, down to earth and caring. He completely understands the relationship that each working part of the body has to each other and looks to treat the body as a whole, not just the affected area. Not only do you as a patient see maximum improvement, but you also have less chance of a reoccurrence of the issue because of what he has taught you.
Matt is a very caring, up to date, and talented PT. He works with a level of commitment that I don?t see in many professionals anywhere. He?s very solid and on. Matt has successfully treated me for 2 very different conditions.
Matt is a kind, compassionate physical therapist who goes above and beyond. He literally changed our lives. He was willing to allow me to come with my husband to his appointments and spent extra time teaching me techniques to help in the healing process after my husband's hip replacement. This was invaluable to us in getting him back to work in a timely manner as we are self-employed. He is truly gifted. My hope is that if you need a physical therapist, this is who you would go too.
He takes a careful history, really listening, then a thorough hands-on assessment. I've worked with a lot of PTs over the years and he is by far the best at clearly identifying primary and secondary issues and explaining them. He's not using a cookbook but really individualizing the treatment and self-care teaching he offers, and takes time to double-check you understand what you're supposed to do at home.
I would highly recommend Matthew Whitaker to anyone needing physical therapy. He listens, asks questions, provides exercises that are easy to understand and relieve pain. I thought I had a shoulder problem, but thanks to Matt, we discovered it was actually a neck injury causing my pain. After just two visits, I had pain relief. He is professional, courteous and genuinely cares for his patients.
Matt is my go-to PT & resource for hands-on therapy, evaluation, referral to experts, & post surgical rehab. His self-care advice & education is personal, focused & appropriate. He is that special PT who truly cares about my quality of life & success in achieving goals. He makes sure I fully understand my options & how to keep high function through my physical challenges. Matt is easy to communicate with, is always on time. Most Valuable Player in my book, for health care.
I have worked with many physical therapists on complicated shoulder and neck issues over the years. I recently had the good fortune to work with Matt Whitaker, PT over a period of a few months. Matt stood out as an outstanding Physical Therapist for many reasons. He is an exceptional listener, customizes and revises PT programs as needed as the client progresses, and is an outstanding educator who empowers his clients with knowledge and information well beyond a set of exercises. He is a p
