I expressed strong interest in this property from day one and specifically asked to be kept informed if the vendors became open to offers before auction. I was repeatedly told it was definitely going to auction, so I waited accordingly. I was then unexpectedly contacted on a Friday morning via text and told an offer had been placed and the vendors were going to accept, with only a few hours to submit my “best and final” offer and no opportunity to negotiate.
