Me and my man has been to this place before and we both loved it. I went for my birthday dinner September 12, 2026. First, I ordered the pimento chicken sandwich and was specifically asked if I wanted a hamburger or chicken. I said chicken I got hamburger. There was no pimento on that sandwich at all. Then I asked for hush puppies, which is my favorite thing. The food was actually really good!! Service was bad and good. We arrived there at 7:15pm on Labor Day. Google said that it was open until 9 but when we got there the hostess was really not happy and told us that they were closing at 8 for the holiday. We said sorry, that we didn't know. And she seated us. Our server was really nice, he came to tell us that he had some things to do with his other customers and would be back. Which took a moment. Nice place . Quick service, good food. T Nothing to complain. We got in and out in 35mins during lunch which was great.
I really enjoyed our food at Matt and Tony’s. The turn off for me was when a big dog was allowed to eat in the restaurant, not on the patio but inside the restaurant. As the owners were leaving, the dog also rubbed up against our table. I like dogs, but I don’t think they belong inside of a restaurant. On a patio is one thing but in the establishment is another. Also, dogs are not allowed to eat inside of the restaurant so for this reason, I don’t know if I would return to Matt and Tony’s.
