Sushi- mmm! We love their sushi lunch buffet! Very reasonably priced and the sushi has been fresh. Not necessarily as artfully prepared and world-class as some other, non-Frederick sushi bars, but still very enjoyable nonetheless!
One of our Favorites! We love love this habatchi grill!! The chefs are very funny if you "play along" and very engaging. We like to take large parties and take up a whole table! My husband says the sushi is so-so. I dont eat sushi, so I couldnt tell you, but I love what I get every time we go!
LOVE IT!! I absolutely love love love this place. The prices are reasonable! My kids absolutely love watching the show. They have a great take out menu as well. What I really love is it is safe for my peanut allergy son to eat at.
Enjoy the show! I have taken my kids here a few times. They love to watch the chef cook "on the table". My little one is afraid of the "fire" aspect, but my four year old loves it! The food is pretty good and the salad is great! The prices are comparable to other japanese steakhouses in the area.

Unpalatable Service We've had a few enjoyable experiences at Matsutake, but after this weekend's visit, we will not be back. We were planning to see a 7:30 movie and slipped into the (not very crowded) bar at 6:30 for a drink/sushi appetizer. The bartender kept saying our order would be out "soon." At 7:30, after we'd been waiting an hour, he discovered he'd neglected to put in our order. Oops. He then lectured us about not expecting quick service on a busy Saturday night. Really?
