We've been to Detroit (and Greektown) a ton. First time at MATI. We came for our 6th anniversary and this might be our favorite spot, now. Emma, our server, was FANTASTIC for the jump. She and my wife hit it off immediately as we shared stories of Lime accidents and just generally loved our interactions with Emma. The food... Outstanding. We wish we had more room, but between the saganaki, spanakopita, and shrimp scampi we were stuffed. This place is a gem in the center of Detroit and a must stop. The chef/owner made this seafood pasta that had shrimp, octopus, scallops, and pasta with a creamy sauce was out of this world. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Their deserts were also on another level. My favorite was the cheesecake but the orange cake with ice cream was phenomenal. Beautiful bar inside and they have a rooftop bar/lounge area upstairs with a DJ. Would definitely come back next time I'm in town.
