Mixed experience at Mathews Timbers. I placed an order for six pine shelf boards with Dylan, who was very helpful and professional. He promised the order would be ready a few days after the machine shop reopened on Jan 19th, but it ended up taking about two weeks to be ready for pickup. When I arrived, the boards hadn't been cut to the dimensions I provided during the order. While a staff member did come out to cut them for me on the spot, he was quite grumpy and unfriendly. Amazing wood. Amazing service
Came here to expand my horizons beyond what's available at the large timber shops. I was really impressed with the range of different woods (local and imported). The staff were very patient with me and even though I was only there to buy 1 board they were happy to tell me about the other woods they carry and talk shop for a while. The wood isn't cheap but it's not easy to come by and I don't have much to compare price with.
