I'm 3 weeks postpartum and I can't stop thinking about how incredible my labor and delivery team was. From each nurse, to the doctor, to the anesthesia team. Wow. It's insane how much care and attention they give, and each person involved was a saint from start to finish. I can't thank them enough for how positive my first birthing experience was.
I am just about to be discharged and I had to come on here and say what an absolute BLESSING everyone has been. We (myself and baby) had several complications towards the end of labor (2 days) and Dr. Schiebout who was on call over the weekend was so informational, professional and kind. We all agreed due to complications heading to a C-section was best. They had me prepped, in, delivered, stitched up and baby clean and ready to go in less than 15-20 minutes. HOLY COW!!! I switched from Tawas and let me tell you, it is the best decision I’ve made in my entire life. I started seeing Alpena OB at 30 weeks. I immediately knew I made the right choice. Around 36 weeks I started getting really itchy and brought it up to Dr Brittney. She sent me for labs and we found that I had cholestasis.
