As a first time mom, I really wanted to soak in all of the information I could on breast and bottle feeding. I highly recommend these ladies for all breastfeeding moms! I had my first child in January and the hospital did not have a lactation consultant available at the time. I had a lot of questions and wanted to make sure my technique was correct, he was getting enough, etc. Both of my sisters-in-law utilized Maternally Yours and advised I give them a call. Prior to meeting with Jen and Kim, I had no knowledge of breastfeeding and it was quite a nerve racking topic for me. I knew I wanted to at least attempt breastfeeding as I knew it was so beneficial for my baby. Kim is amazing! We drive an hour from our home to see her and would drive double that, if needed, because she is so knowledgeable, caring, and encouraging. My husband and I are so grateful for her support and advice.
When asked if I had a plan for breastfeeding, my response was always "if it works, great, if not, it'll be okay" I met with Jenn before having my son, and I'm thankful I did because in the hospital things move so quickly, it was nice to have a little background knowledge before having him.
