I recently came to Sydney from the Country and spent a night in the Mater Hospital after day surgery. I found the doctors and nursing staff who looked after me exceptional. They were very caring and helpful with my surgery and recovery. I would especially like to mention Jay (Jerphy) who did my discharge. He sat with me and explained all my questions in clear and concise language. Following giving birth at the Mater hospital via emergency C Section, I would not recommend this private hospital. I found the midwives to be lacking the level of expertise and consistency that one would expect at a hospital of the calibre of Mater. Multiple mistakes were made by the midwives including; being given blood thinning injections at the incorrect time hours after my surgery, incorrectly diagnosing my infant with jaundice, incorrectly administering blood tests to my infant requiring redraws of blood, providing inco... read more
Nurses good , organisation horrible , was meant to be transported from there to Waratah price in patient reehab , that was postponed 2 Days ima row due to the bed not being ready , I was told It was okay rod at until Waratah was ready for me on Monday , come Sudnay afternoon I was told I had to go home Monday , I just received a call from Waratah hospital asking me why I did not come Monday , they ad said they had told the mater a bed was ready for Monday and for me to be transported there. I recently had a coronary angiogram at Mater Hospital, and I just want to say a huge thank you to Dr. Ruchin and his amazing team. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and professional, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout the whole process.
