would give zero stars if it was possible. Been with them for 15 years and today I received a notice that since I was late 8 out of the last 12 months that I need to pay an additional 2 months "deposit" on top of my regular payment. I have always paid but due to the date it was due is offset from my pay periods I was late. My bill was paid in full and the next day, the next bill came out they expect me to pay $650. $150 during the summer $414.00 for a "deposit". MEA is corrupted to the core.
Never answer the phone when you need them
I would rate 0 or negative if allowed. I would happily pay double the prices for, or to, ANY alternative energy source/corporation. Since trying to switch a meter over to my name due to the passing of a family member, it's been disconnected 3 times, what they've charged, and attempted to collect on the deceased is utterly disgusting. The accounts are constantly 'confused' and every single interaction I have with an employee, I'm told one thing then a completely different/opposite/varying balances due from another. Worst utility company in the world.
MEA is charging premium rates for garbage service. In a matter of 3 months (summer months, decent weather) I have lost power 5 times for HOURS. There is no excuse for such bad service at the rates they charge.
