I was excited about introducing this restaurant to my friends. Everything was professional the reservations, valet, hosts, servers and the entertainment. I couldn't eat the stake I ordered the chiefs cut of bone in ribeye medium. It was served to hot, burned and tuff. This was most disappointing however I continued to enjoy the music paid my bill and didn't complain. Then completely unexpectedly I received a follow up call asking about my experience. Myself & two friends of mine went last week & sat at the bar for dinner. My entire meal was just awful. Ordered the ribeye mw came mr. The sautéed garlic spinach side was flavorless. The truffle french fries special side order was really bad also. The basket of bread was room temp & not warm. For dessert I ordered the Pecan pie. The crust was overcooked & hard. I needed a steak knife to cut it. Overall a very bad experience. STEAK 44 down the road so much better...
I've never had bad service. City hall in particular for some reason has slightly better steaks than the other Mastro's locations from what I can tell. On top of that, they literally have the best bone-in filet mignon I have ever had, and I've had a lot.
Went for my 21st birthday today. Excellent service. 18 oz. bone in fillet, medium rare was perfect. Lobster cocktail was perfect. The entire dinner service was perfect. Could it be overstated? I don't think so. Thanks City Hall for a fantastic dinner! I will definitely be returning again!
Out of this world dining experience. We were a party of 15 and the swarm of servers, knowledge of the meats and menu items were great. Nonetheless the cuts of meat were to die for. Lobster mashed potatoes, Brussels and 18 oz filet bone in topped of with warm butter cake is a must!
