Reliably Ordinary – If you're looking for a reliable steak n' burger place, The Masthead's the place for you. They have an admirable beer selection, friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere. Plus, they're one of the only restaurants in town with outdoor seating which is really nice in the summer. The only complaint I have is that their mashed potatoes clearly taste like they were made from a powder. It's not the fanciest place in town, but you get your money's worth.
waste of money i have been a long time patron of the masthead.took my wife and 2 grandsons to dinner Saturday night and had the worst meal ever had there. we ordered 2 b.l.t s with crispy bacon and the bacon was still red and chewy. the bread was burnt around the edges. i ordered a cup of soup (chicken an rice) it was like mush. like it was cooking for a couple of days. it was a $40 dinner and i was offered a $5 gift certificate. barely payed for the soup. the manager acted like she didn't know what to due.it was a bad exper... read more
Simple but Good – For Longview, Masthead is about as fancy as it gets. We brought our 3 year old with us and the waitress promptly brought him a bucket of toys, crayons and paper to draw. Perfect! I ordered the Petite cut Prime Rib and it was perfectly Medium. Even though it was the smaller cut, it is still alot of meat and I took half of it home. The Clam Chowder is REALLY good. masthead is a great place to be period! i really like the masthead good service good food really have a good time everytime we go thanks, its nice to have a great place in longview to go,,its my kids favorite they love to color there favorite thing and get it posted on the color board
Love the Mathead I went to the masthead over the weekend and the staff, food, and the entire experience was perfect. The women bartender was so nice and friendly. She was very helpful. The waiter I had was nice, fast, and very attentive. Great Experience. Thanks to Everyone at the Masthead.
yep the best place in town by far We went to the masthead all around good food good service nice place to go out to dinner,,,,the best burger ever get the avocado burger they use real avo and lots of it they dont skimp,,the crew working seemed to be having a good time at work always nice to see instead of the usual when you go out and seem to be bothering them we were thanked for coming in
My favorite place to eat!! – I am cheap and the masthead is priced right for the quality of food I received. I take my family to the masthead quite often, my favorite is the club sandwich.

the masthead visit awesome food, best chowder ive ate love the fish. good service all around..always making sure everything is fine getting refills before you take your last drink dont even have to ask for another..its my daughters favorit place..
