Came in for an inspection with a check engine light. They initially seemed helpful and rechecked the codes multiple times with a diagnostic scanner. They recommended an emissions cleaner, then quoted $1,300 for a catalytic converter replacement. I asked to be contacted before any price changes, but was later given a $1,700 bill without approval.
