I don’t recommend Master Eye Associates in Austin. I went in to get my prescription updated which is covered by my insurance fully. They insisted another test was required which was something they wanted to bill to my medical insurance(it wasn’t covered because it’s not even considered preventative). While waiting I called around to other offices and confirmed this is not typically required. So now I’ve wasted my day off and need to find another optometrist.
RecommendedDr. Nadia Rutayisire was professional and patient with me (my eyes go in & out of focus so exams aren’t routine). She explained things as she went through my exam and let me know my eye health test results before I left. She treated me with respect and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a quality eye exam.
Normally go to a different place but they were able to get me in sooner. My insurance copay is $10 but was told it would be close to $50 for an eye exam. Not sure why when my insurance normally covers it with the copay. I understand there’s a private business discretion on prices but I found this odd. Most importantly the receptionist, name starts with M, was fairly dismissive and dry in her information and service. Didn’t continue with the service based on the customer service.
