I've been a member for years and I know that they do not charge by the type of massage so if you want deep tissue it costs the same as swedish. My massages are always $39 and the therapists are professional and have helped me so much.
Your one-hour massage is actually about 45-minutes because the other 15 minutes are used for changing and discussing massage technique. If you ask the therapist for a firmer massage, she will tell you that you only paid for a swedish massage, not deep therapy--which costs more. I explained that I didn't want deep, just a little firmer. Still, no go. Tried it once, won't be back.
