I don't believe my PCP in MGH Geriatric Medicine truly cares about the Ederly. I think he is in it because he is not US trained and a MGH contract is helpful to him. There does not seem to be a Team surrounding the Patient. A few NPs who often help with volume of Patients but no Patient Centered Plan
I do not feel that the Dr we saw acted in our best behalf.
Dr Matthew Russell who is caring, concerned and knowledgeable has been my husband and my PCP for a few years. Would not want any other PCP. He has always efficiently responded to our needs and seeked out additional services for us. He is concerned with our all round health care. The office staff staff especially Deborah and Jody are exceptional with personal and effectual responses.After hours physicians are efficacious and very helpful. Highly recommend Geriatric Medicine at MGH
In past year during Covid my son's dad was hospitalized at MGH and they were very accommodating. Social Worker spent time to go over the SKkilled Nursing facilities open during Dec 2020 when Ccovid raging. His Geriatric Unit doctor visited him and spent time with his Care Team to coordinate care. He has been going to Geriatric Center, prior Senior Health, for many years and only the best of care.
