The food was really good. We ordered aloo jeera both dry and gravy, papad, jeera rice, baingan bhartha, a side of saag paneer for the kid, dal, chapati and gulab jamun. Everything tasted just perfect! Our entire family from my little niece to my parents absolutely loved the food. Very authentic flavors and Mr Jaffer was a warm and gracious host, kind enough to accommodate our requests and modifications as well. Strongly recommend to people who want to taste homely authentic indian flavors.
This place is really cozy and has a nice ambiance. It always smells so good and the staff is super sweet. When I order to go I get the chicken biryani or a curry for myself to keep it simple. All of the portions are worth the money. The biryani especially, the rice and chicken are so moist and flavorful - I always have plenty of left over for another meal. Best Dose i tasted in USA so far, I tried many dosa places even in other states with high Indian population, but this is so far the best and has close taste to my hometown.
I visited this restaurant on a friday, about 1-2 pm. I was the only person there; the waiter was really nice and honest when I asked if what I was about to order was more than enough for one person. I had the Lamb Korma and rice. It was more than enough for me and could have been easily shared by two persons. The food was incredibly delicious and generously served.
